Yay!!! I hope she stays that way, She is so stinkin sweet!!!Truffle looks like a pullet at this point. Seeing a very even pattern that is uninterrupted by patches of color.
Peetry is a cockerel. Wide comb and red on the wings.
Thanl you so much
Ugh, I was afraid of that. I'll have to break it to my daughter gentlyAgree, peetry comb looks like three pink lines (cickerel), whereas truffle only has the single yellow line (pullet).
Yeah, I figuered. He is very bold in actions and colorsPeetry's a boy. I have a similar looking boy now but mine has less blue on his head.
Stretch (great name! suits her
So..still having trouble with my camera, but I tried to get a better one today. Today the girls turned 5 weeks. This is when they came out of the coop for the first time, boy was that an ordeal! I can't get any better pictures yet, because the cloth hardware blurs the pics. The chick on the front left (with red patches) is Gemma...and someone here suspected might be male. I'm thinking yes, the way those patches are coming in. The one on the right is Stretch. I couldn't get any better pictures of the other two.
The 3 gold birds are definitely pullets. White is has pink/white legs, so not too sure if it's even an EE. Would need to know age and see close up views of the comb to give an opinion. If White has a pea comb, you can compare it with the other for-sure pullets. If it looks the same, then you've got another pullet. (Overall shape of White looks female.
I'm guessing all four are pullets. Shape is very female for all of them in these pics, and the gold ones are always girls
So...guess what? lol This morning Gemma announced he is a HE! I am pretty sure he is trying to crow.Stretch (great name! suits her) looks like a pullet by her coloring. Very even pattern from what I can see. Gemma does look like a cockerel, but I've never seen one quite like that. His comb looks taller than Stretch's, even though hers is wider. One more week and we should know for sure.![]()

Oh dear. He didn't even give you a week! That's pretty early to start crowing! Can you keep him? I'd love to see out he looks as an adult. Pretty boy! You'll have to rename him. Jimmy?![]()
