Easter Egger thread!

Day old shipped from My Pet Chicken as I only want a few, max in my city is 6. They are shipping on Wed the 31st. Hoping all goes well never ordered any animals shipped to me but could not find late chickens in my area with breeds that I wanted. Only a few Orpingtons and I don't really broody hens. My other option was 8 hours round trip driving.

Thanks, I've seen encouraging comments on the site and a few that have not had good luck. The brooder light is being set up tomorrow and a thermometer added so I can test it. Litter is in the box, food is here, feeder and waterer are waiting to be filled. I do need to make a protective top for the box yet. They will be in a basement laundry room I can close off but just to make sure Miss Kitty doesn't get to them the top must go on. Pups, don't go down there.

I have a question about my EE. I know she's too young to tell if she's a hen/rooster but I was reading about how they have pea combs? I've never had chickens before and she's my oldest, not sure on the exact age but i think she's almost 4 weeks. Can anyone tell me if this is a pea comb? And she's starting to get a white spot on both her wings, is this a sign of rooster? Again I know it's way to early im just curious

Thanks! She's the only easter egger I kept so I'm really hoping she's a hen, I wouldn't mind a rooster but I want it to be one of the other breeds that I'll have a couple of lol, I really want some green eggs

She's pretty!
Yes, shes has pea comb.
No I don't the white spot means a boy
EEs come in many different colors and she probably just had some white.

My chicks ship tomorrow so should have them Thurs or Fri. Anxious to see what the EE's look like and meet them. My barred rock and australorp are pretty predictable for colors. If they are like the rest of my critter friends they will be a bit spoiled.
