Easter time SAVE A CHICK rally

BTW, TSC doesn't seem to be selling chicks out of their stores this year. They're selling them more like hatcheries... you have to preorder, and you have to order at least 25, then they'll ship them to your door. They're telling us it's because of the bird flu. <shakes head>

I got three stores to agree they would hand out the instruction fliers! I also gave them a uncut version so they could Xerox it themselves. I ended up using my own version, the information is in-between the two posted fliers. My main concern is printing cost/ease and people that are on-line challenged. I want to SAVE A CHICK

That's excellent!!! Great job.

I'm sure a few chicks will be saved, but even if they aren't "saved" at least there is a better chance they will get proper care.

My first chickens came from a guy who I felt was VERY knowledgeable about chickens. I still consider him pretty smart, but was astonished when I discovered he was feeding his chickens scratch alone! I've tried to convince him that it's like giving them candy all the time, but he doesn't agree.

Keep up the great work everyone. We can really build out this program so it is available every year and just gets better and better!

Rob, Is it possible to have the accepted draft posted, so when posters are referred to this post for educationial purposes, it's available on our site?

Hey All,

I put a link on the main page of BYC to the save a chick page. Hopefully we can get more people involved!

I already said it, but I look forward to us making this an annual program, so please keep the ideas and suggestions coming.
