There is an active hack in that area grawg. I got to meet one of the guys who monitor them and I think that was the last area they released. But...there is still the problem of people shooting them. Osprey are magnificent! I have one that comes to my ponds here...which are actually a small lake. They have a white underbelly. I came home one day in time to see if swoop down for a fish...I was wondering what is a hawk doing going after fish...then I saw the underbelly as it left. We keep our ponds stocked so we get a large amount of water fowl here...it is nice to watch. We had a pair of wood ducks use our duck box last year...so..am going to add more boxes!!!

Awesome!! I'll have to go look for details.

Think it was you I bought the brown cochin with the blueish tail from. She's one of my favs - and just started laying last week!

Yep, that was me! Still have one of the hens she was caged with for sale too

Glad you like her. Always nice to hear about them being in good homes.

I live across the road from Norris lake and try to canoe at least a few times a year. One of the first trips out there with my wife we saw a bald eagle catch a fish and take it up to an old tree to have a meal. We were able to get fairly close to observe it eating lunch. Not sure how someone could shoot a bird like that...
