I have 2 POL or laying CochinX hens. 1 EE/Cochin and 1 Leghorn/Cochin. Beautiful girls. The LeghornX will probably be the better layer, the EEx is just drop dead gorgeous.

PM me if you want more details. They would need to be picked up in Lenoir City. I also have lionhead bunnies and guinea pigs available (hairless and regular that carry hairless gene).

I hate the new BYC format and will not be on much.

Quote: Anything in particular you hate? I've found that changing a few of the preferences have made a big difference in the overall look of this new format. I think bairo has been messing with a lot of the new stuff as well. Maybe there is something we can help you with?

@Nella - I'm sorry you don't like the new BYC :( We all here enjoy when you comment and add more to our conversation! I have always been one to hate and dislike change, but am learning this new BYC to continue my chicken addiction...

@bairo - you keep changing your avatar! lol making it hard to realize you're you, have to keep looking at the name not the photo... lol :p

I'm in some harder classes this semester, so if I ever seem spacey... or not all there.. it's because my brain is fried! :D

Forgot to say... Tnbarnqueen has something in bator now, so Im not sure what she may have available also. Ill wait on everyone to see your post and chime in.....someone may have something different that they want to get rid of.

Welcome 4 Ladies.....I am presently hatching out Blue Marans and cochin x D'Uccle chicks. Also a few Maran x Black Star. Black Stars are very dedicated layers of really nice sized eggs..so I am curious what the cross will be like. If you are interested or anyone else are interested let me know!

LOL, just amazed at how easy it is to load pics and avatar now compared to old system. Ill try to stick with this one a while :)

Is there anyone in the tri cities,tn area that may have a polish, wyandotte, araucana or silkie hen or two for sale, eggs, chick or young adult? I am starting to think most of my babies are going to be roos

They are still young, but the older they get the more they look like it and act like it and it's just my luck, last year I got 8 ducks and 6 of them were drakes.

Man, it took me a minute to find you all again... this new format will take some getting used to.

How is everyone? Enjoying those frozen waterers now? Sorry I have been away... I tend to hunker down for winter. That is one thing about breeding/farming... teaches you to go with the seasons more. You tell that to a city dweller without even a dog or houseplant and they look at you like you dance naked in the woods at night. LOL!

Speaking of seasons... I'm planning my spring garden... I like to try something new every year... I try to stay away from hybrids...... anyone have any suggestions for something a bit different?

Hmm how about ornamental herb garden? I tried that last year, but I haven't figured out organic pest control and the ducks I had pretty much grazed down what I had planted

No Frozen water here. I made a cookie Tin heater. It's Awesome!!! This will be the first year I've ever attempted a garden. I too wanted to find something different. Found at burpee online. http://www.burpee.com/fruit-plants/strawberry-plants/strawberry-pineberry-white-pine-prod002672.html They have a Pineberry.... It looks like a white strawberry but it taste like a pineapple. I don't think it is a hybrid. But they are a high price. I hope I can keep my garden going. Plan is to make raised garden bed. I thought it would be nice to grow things that I had not seen at our local farmers market. I had such a great time setting up at the market last year. I almost cried the first time I sold eggs there. LOL it was to other vendors. But still made me happy.
