its probably easier to go back a page or two and find her last post...then click on her name and choose PM or private message. She is in the Knox area but I dont think the 5 people here close to you have any. Maybe possibly contrastphoto?

Contrast...your not doing orps are you?
Thanks. I will try to look her up. I do not need any right away. I will have to wait until I get my newest group organized before adding any.

We are neighbors!! I live about 5 minutes from Dandridge near exit 4. You will have to come visit!
You will love Daphne's orps. She is actually our Orpington Queen here.

I had 2 of her black English...excellent confirmation and cushion according to a man I know who is one of the top experts on them. And he is hard to impress!

Well....we sure got the rain and alot more than I really wanted with it. My tarps actually survived!!! Silly chickens. I was trying to get everyone up and 4 still ran out and stood in the rain. I really wonder about my silkies sometimes. So..while the rain slacked off I ran out and stuffed them in the coop door.

Poor babies. I have not seen a storm like that in a while. We seldom get storms out from the north but when we do they are doozies. I hope everyone is OK. So if you can give us a little yell to let us know.

@Bario...do you have a couple extra nipples I could buy? I like the idea of the bucket and it would keep the water so much cleaner. Let me know!!

Its nice to know there's people close who have Orpingtons. I hope we can meet some time. I just came in from rescuing 3 young Orpingtons. As luck would have it I am trying to integrate them in with a hen & 2 hatches of EE's. I just opened up their lockup & either she ran them out of the coop or they chose to leave. Needless to say they were wet & got a blow dry & are going to spend the night in the shower stall

Hey guys, sorry been so long, went to Florida on vacation! Traffic was HORRIBLE, but we had fun at the beach! Got a bit of sun, but not too much. Came home to all the chickens alive, thanks to leaving my friend to care for them! I have a bunny who pulled fur and had one dead baby but nothing else yet... just waiting now.

@daph
Pics of the 6 that hatched (and one young marans that the babies snuggle up to at night) More new pics on my coop page under pics (about the last 3 rows are new)

Ha! You scared me for a moment. When I first saw the picture I thought, "What kind of Ameraucana is THAT?!?!" Then I actually read it. That is a pretty marans.

I can't see the combs too well, but are they as girly looking as they seem in the picture? If so, I need for you to come over and rub the eggs I'm going to incubate.

Hey guys let me start out by saying that I am not trying to put any hatchery down before I say this. Others might have had good experiences there. But, because there are several new people on here looking for chickens myself being pretty new I wanted to share an experience. I ordered from a hatchery called Hoovers hatchery. I ordered 20Cornish cross and 5 EE pullets. they sent one extra of each. I have already lost 6 birds from them and I haven't even had them for a week. I have lost 4 Cornish and two EE's. I just wanted to throw that out there as a buyer beware if anyone is looking at buying from them. It may be just my experience, but I have seen a thread about them here on BYC. like I said not trying to bash just a word of warning to any of our folks on here looking for a place to buy chicks. This was my first and only experience with a hatchery. I have several other chicks from personal breeders in my brooder right now, and all of them are doing great, and are strong. I just got 15 Blue Laced Red Wynadotte chicks, olive eggers, and some Lavender orps. I will try to post some pictures of the little fluff balls this weekend.
