Got my husband to go by after work and buy huge container of oatmeal, two big containers of yougart and a head of lettuce. I'm thinking with all the money I'm spending on these critters, they need to learn to do laundry.

That's how I feel sometimes! I just had to buy Oatmeal and Barley to mix in the rabbit feed to condition them for the upcoming shows before December.

it'sthelaw, did you ever get the duck idea past your hubby? I am batting my eyelashes at Mark for a Nigerian Dwarf milk goat, any pointers?

We are gone with mom tomorrow till about 1pm then I have to leave at 2:30 for a vol. thing I do every year for a friend and their church. I did not know what time the sale was over but hoping you can swing by for that rooster and you can bring some of that tack by as well if you want and we can talk about it.
I was not ignoring you, just tight with money especially if I did not know what was going to happen up there with the gelding. I'll get the cockeral caged up real early before he comes off the roost. Even if you dont bring yours it is no big deal....you can still have this one.
Rod...I am so sorry I did not get your post til tonight. I did not get to make the sell today. Got up at 7....rain..waited 30 or so minutes and it stopped. Ran out to start getting everyone..came a downpour. Went BACK inside waited 20 minutes and went out...still sprinkling a bit but the chickens where all wet and not very pretty. I wanted to bring some of the tack to sell and did not know what to do about if it was raining there too. I just threw my hands up and gave up. I was in the store later that afternoon and the manager was teasing me saying they where considering sending out a search party.

@AJ...how did I get so much rain and you didn't!!! Are we not pretty close together? But then I have sat and watched it pour rain across the road from us.

Rod...we are getting ready to leave for vacation on Monday. Is it OK if I come over tomorrow afternoon? I don't know how much tack I can get in the car and not sure which size saddle we talked about for Megan. I think starting out with a straight hump bit may work. I have about 5 different types. Sometimes you have to try a few to get one that the horse is happy and comfortable with. Could you give me a call tomorrow when you get a chance after church?? I am sure we can work something out on what she will need. Thanks!!

Was just a few sprinkles here between 5:00 and when dad left at 7:30 with the chickens.
I ran through 3 heavy showers on my way to work in Jefferson City.
Dad said they only had two VERY light showers that combined would not even have wet the parking lot.
He also said the skys were so grey that no one came out till after 11 or so.
He also said that there were only 4 sellers there including him.

We are about 12 mile by the road or about 5 as the bantie hen flies.

so got some of my pidgys back, but they are half of the squeakers, and other half the unpaired culls, all males, except for oddly one of my original unpaired pigeon squeaker females that would be considered a white garden fantail hen (from first group i got)... anyone else thinking my pairs fly off and nested suddenly with season? had given originally eighteen, three found dead after they let out, maybe five, or five had flown off, i forget which, but thought five disapeared all at once suddenly.
