For anyone on Pinterest,

I thought you would like this link, especially stang.

Make me wish I was wealthy and owned about 50 acres, I would have one of each.
I like some of them!

it'sthelaw, did you ever get the duck idea past your hubby? I am batting my eyelashes at Mark for a Nigerian Dwarf milk goat, any pointers?

Yes, we are getting three ducks in the spring. I worked it until he thought it was his idea. He keeps saying "you don't know how messy ducks are........." I ignore him and keep smiling. lol

I love the dwarf goats. Where we live there are coyotes. You almost have to have a donkey to have goats to keep the coyotes away. But goats sure do keep the field cleaned down.

Good luck on the battle.

I'm all into pinterest. When you are trying to come up with ideas, it is amazing. I loved the chicken coops. I could look at them all day long. I found myself on there one day looking at signs for the farm for over two hours. I reallized I was waisting my llife away. lol

Lightly scanned over the last 6 pages. PHEW!

Sistachick... you are right on top of me. We are neighbors! And StacyTN... you aren't far... and your name is Stacy. This will get confusing.

So, now that I'm no longer breeding LF Delawares, I have space and time for other breeds. I keep going back to European types with two exceptions... Barred Plymouth Rocks and New Hampshires. Is that weird? (assuming most know those two breeds created the Delaware) The biggest problem is, my current situation is one of "sit and wait" and I want to be window shopping for breeds and lines for spring... but I don't know what I will be doing or where I will be in spring. DRIVING ME NUTS.... I'm a planner to a extent and this not knowing stuff is for the birds.

Just venting a bit.

Okay, I couldn't get my chickens to really take to the yogart. So I cooked 3 cups of oatmeal today (first time they ever had oats) and poured yogart on top of it. They went at it like I was giving them crack. What are some other ways to trick them? Do they eat grits? I tried the cheerio treats. Not interested.

Also one last question, and then I'll quit posting. (I know I get on your nerves, but I'm learning) We are getting ready to cut down all of our tomatoe plants. Can I give them all the left over tomatoes that are still good? Too many tomatoes bad for them?
