tnbearchick- Ut told me the exact same thing about treating a chicken with antibiotics.

stang- those are the most adorable little babies ever! I like the helicopter ears with the puzzled look on their faces.

Second bloody poop. Not as bad as the first one. Now here we go: It is too late for us to get meds tonight. TSC opens at 8 am. If we get corid, is it too late to start treatment? (we realize we are going to have to treat ALL) And do we get corid? Injection?
I wish you where close to me....I keep Corid in my first aid kit. I have problems with it every spring. But I would say as week as he is it may be too late for it to help. Unless it is another symptom of the ASP where his body is so weak.

Amy, I hope you can treat him. I know how it is to have a dear pet sick and lose them. But life without the years they gave me would have been much less endearing, so I will take the amazing years I got, any time.

Has anyone used one of these incubators? http://www.ebay.com/itm/130713384467?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 I got a freebie Little Giant, but just in case....I was thinking of getting a good one that holds more than 6-7 eggs. If you don't like this one, can you tell me a good and reliable brand/model? I have eggs coming in next week and I want to make sure they have the best chance. Thank you all.
I have loved my Hovabator and believe me...it has taken punishment. I have run it non-stop since end of Nov. last year. They are consistent in temps and easy to clean. They are also interchangable with LG parts as well. I paid $105 for mine which included shipping. I haven't checked lately on the prices. If I had to buy another one..would be a Hova.

@stang..........that blue bunnie is soooo cute. They all are, but that one is just dipped twice in cute. I love the blue's. Did you say earlier that it was a doe? Or was that the buck?

TNBarnQueen & lunar- you both make me want to get an incubator & hatch eggs. This is not possible since my chickens are not putting out any eggs & I am all out of room.

It's a doe! That seems to be the one everyone likes! LOL

Does yours have the fan installed or is it still air? There are several on ebay right now and then there is the fan kit. I wondered if its worth paying extra for one that is included or buying the kit an doing it myself or not. I want a turner and if I can find them....rails for bantam eggs. That's why I was looking at that Farm Innovators...it has the turner/quail rails, and its circulated air. I just want something dependable. Thanks Terry.

With the circulated air you can keep the temps steadier and the eggs are warmed evenly.... I'd go with the fan one myself, I have the hova bator with the fan, keeps it steady..
