I'm so sorry Sandra. Try to take comfort in knowing you made the right choice for her. There is no pain at the rainbow bridge. She's there with many of my wonderful babies and many others.

Then I know shes in the best of company. Thank you Heather

It is never an easy thing to do to something that is a part of your family. I have a 12 year old cat that who never excepted anyone but me. She started having small seizures a couple weeks ago..I thought something was wrong with her hip until I was sitting with her and saw what actually happens. Her head started doddling and it moved on down her body...then she fell back on her back and started crying while she licked furiously at her right paw. When I see it happen sometimes I can start stroking her head and she will calm down and it seems to stop. The last few have been worse because the pain is so much she pees. Poor baby acts embarrassed about it. I am going to the vet Tuesday to talk to him. I know what I have to do...I have talked to her and I really think she has come to my bedroom and told me she is ready. She never comes to my BR...so...I pray this is her sign to me.
I can say this is going to be extremely difficult.

Remember all the love and happiness your Brea brought you Sandra...that is the only thing that will get me through this.

She was watching you the entire time and studying your weak spots. lol! I think she is paying you back for the name "Bob". LOL!!! Kidding.

I'm a Bob fan and never met her!

On a happier note....I am so glad to be back!! I have missed everyone here so much.
I had to have a knee replacement quite earlier than was expected after I took a hard fall. Never, never it would be this painful. I thought after 3 weeks or so and a bit of therapy I would be up and life back to normal. BOY...was I ever nieve.

I have been able to go out and spend time with my chickens now. I am so proud and thankful to my DH and sons for taking over all my responsibilities especially my flocks.

I hope I will be able to walk well enough to go to the fair. If push comes to shove I will drag along the old walker!!!

I am looking for a Belgium D'uccle. I had bought a chick at a show not knowing what it was...it has turned into a beautiful self blue BD and I love his personality. If anyone ever runs across someone with hatching eggs please send them my way!! JoJo is in my new grow out pen and struts around like he owns the world.

Also want to remind everyone that I am still looking to have our Chick-a-Palooza this coming spring!

Later!

I'm so sorry TNBarnQueen, how sad. I told my children yesterday, unfortunately, eventually it comes down to two horrible options, to be kind and end suffering or not. Both have the same sucky outcome. I thank you for your kind words, and I'm sending them right back to you, hoping they comfort you as much as they did me.

I'm so sorry, Sandra. It's the worst part of having pets as family members. I'm sure she knew she was loved every day of her seven years.
