It is never an easy thing to do to something that is a part of your family. I have a 12 year old cat that who never excepted anyone but me. She started having small seizures a couple weeks ago..I thought something was wrong with her hip until I was sitting with her and saw what actually happens. Her head started doddling and it moved on down her body...then she fell back on her back and started crying while she licked furiously at her right paw. When I see it happen sometimes I can start stroking her head and she will calm down and it seems to stop. The last few have been worse because the pain is so much she pees. Poor baby acts embarrassed about it. I am going to the vet Tuesday to talk to him. I know what I have to do...I have talked to her and I really think she has come to my bedroom and told me she is ready. She never comes to my BR...so...I pray this is her sign to me.
I can say this is going to be extremely difficult.
Remember all the love and happiness your Brea brought you Sandra...that is the only thing that will get me through this.
I'm so sorry TNBarnQueen, how sad. I told my children yesterday, unfortunately, eventually it comes down to two horrible options, to be kind and end suffering or not. Both have the same sucky outcome. I thank you for your kind words, and I'm sending them right back to you, hoping they comfort you as much as they did me.
