Everytime I come on here I see another animal I want. That duck of grawg's keeps looking at me. Telling me I now need ducks. Nellabeans rabbits and geniepigs also say buy me. I'm trying to thin down my flock. Yet I tell my hubby I want a chocolate egg layer. Because I don't have one. Also want a blue lace red wyandotte just because they are so pretty! Heck now I want a pink tractor and a huge farm.

Finally was able to hammer down Blue Seal. Corporate just put out a new directive stating there is an 8 ton minimum per order. I doubt very seriously we can meet that so I have been in contact with the Dealer in NC since I have to be in Waynesville once per month. I dont mind driving the extra to pick it up but am not sure you guys over closer to Knoxville will want to drive over to Newport to get it for these prices or not. Here are the prices:

Rabbit Show Hutch Deluxe = 18.99
Organic Life Layer = 28.99
Organic Life Starter = 32.99
Chick Starter Medicated = 17.99
Layer = 14.99
Chicken/Game Bird start&grow crumble = 16.99
Breeder = 14.99
Fat and Finish = 16.99
Broiler Medicated = 17.99

The alternate for medicated chick starter would be the game bird or the Organic starter.

Now for the other news.... I might be able to get Kent on a 2 ton minimum out of the midwest warehouse. At first glance I was not sure if they were as good with as much variety. They are the parent company to Blue seal though and I found a discussion where people were really praising them. It turns out I can get Kent on an 80 bag minimum. Because the products are not the same it is difficult comparing it to Blue Seal, but basically after costs it comes out between 25 cents and about a dollar a bag cheaper. I would almost rather just get it from Cullowee, NC. Since I am in Waynesville once a month anyway. I talked to the owner and she puts her order in on the 14th of the month and gets it on the 21st. Anyone that wants any thing blue seal makes just let me know by Feb.12th so I can call her to order it. I think sales tax over there is 7% so just add that to the price above. Ill try to get her to come down a bit as well.

I already have a monthly standing order at the Cullowee place for my Blue Seal rabbit feed. I have a friend in cherokee and she picks it up for me and I get it from her at a rabbit show. So, I will pass for now....was just hoping to have a closer connection. I have 6 bags with my name on them there right now

Once I get rid of the rest of the chickens I'm selling, I will hopefully only go through a bag a month, maybe a little more.

BTW, both "pet" rabbits are currently PENDING SALE, to be picked up friday. a 3rd I had not posted is PENDING SALE to be picked up Saturday.

1 hairless pig went this weekend. 1 regular guinea pig went this weekend. 1 guinea pig went tonight.

1 guinea pig left. 3 weeks old and super cute and fat.


Bantam Mottled Cochin flock is for sale. Have 10 "growout" chicks for sale $15 each for girls, $5 for boys. Old enough to sex. Would prefer to sell as group. And would discount accordingly. Both blue mottled and black mottled of both sexes available.

Multiple black mottled point of lay or just laying pullets available (3). $15-25 each. Blue mottled pair (Rooster is limping, no idea why).. $25 for pair. Black mottled hens, $20-25 each.

SHOW QUALITY QUAD: $150 - Black mottled cockerel, blue mottled hen, black mottled hen, black mottled pullet. My best 4 birds.

Thank you so much Bario...,you are such a sweetheart.So far things look good. I keep spot checking and have not seen anything yet. Since there was such a small number who did have them I think I may have gotten it close to the start. I am getting more and more eggs now! Finally 3 of my FC marans are laying with my BS maran roo. I hope to have a dozen or so chicks in various stages for the March show. The 4 I have so far look very nice and 2 are going to be splash.
I have some other info for you...will shoot you a PM on it.
I should be able to order my Denagard in 2 weeks. I am going to divide it into smaller bottles for anyone who needs to get some.

Is the Cocke County Poultry Show in March this year? You all might have already posted this. But I can't find it. If it is in March. Please don't tell me its on the 24th. I have plans that day to go to Biltmore Estates with a group of ladies from the Farmer's market and work. I don't want to miss this years show.

It's usually in May. I know, because it's usually on or around my birthday. So pencil it in as either the 5th or the 12th...

On a side note, you realize this whole site is just full of enablers right? No one on here is going to say "Nah, I think you've got enough birds"
