OMW..your like super woman tonight. Good job.

I did not even think along Campine lines (because not supposed to have been in shipment) It is almost half the size of its hatch mates and I did not even notice the earlobes. That would make sense. Im going out now to take a closer look at those darn ear lobes

Just what I need...a small egg laying prozac chicken

PS... Im still worried about the pattern diff in the supposed cuckoo marans. Something just dont seem right about it, lol

Wow, I just noticed 999 POSTS!!! This is my 1000th one, so gonna have to make it count!

Just noticed out of the first 11 cochins to hatch, I have 3 frizzles. I have 7 chicks in the bator, and think only one more will hatch but most of the eggs are now at the bottom edge. My incubators will be empty come tomorrow after I pull the babies out. I just picked up 6 production red hens from a friend, she only wanted a bag of feed as payment so gotta go to LC tomorrow.
My FIL is getting a divorce, and keeps asking us if we want to buy stuff. He offered us his tractor with all his attachments, too bad we are broke from buying my car (not literally, just don't have much saved up now).
I just realized I need to close chickens and bunnies up! bairo - where are the ameraucana pics?

Did you not look at all the photos on the link? They had both types of marans like that. They're not yellow legged, I actually had some like those! I thought I had all BRs, after searching, come to find out I had a Birchen Maran, dominiques, barred rocks, and cuckoo marans!

Get down to 40 east bound (is that 75 from your area, I think?) anyway....go east on 40 through Knoxville. Your going to take exit # 432-B
THAT EXIT IS ON THE LEFT FROM THE FAST LANE, SO BE CAREFUL AND WATCH FOR IT. You cant turn from the exit, it only goes one way towards the fair grounds. Go about 2 miles and the grounds are on the right. If you get to the bottom of the hill where Crystal Burger is.....you went to far.
I've drove that way many times, on our way to Myrtle Beach. Just never paid attention to the Newport exit. lol Thanks for the info.

You sound like my wife.
Of course I did not look at all the photos....I'm a man. We only look at the first 2 or 3 and figure they are all the same, so why waste our time on it?

I don't mean to be! LOL It just made sense to me to look at them all to make sure they had both

I went to count chickens, and have lost my maran pullet
hmm.png
I looked in as many trees as I could and under the buildings, but she was missing. I hope she's just a horrible chicken and decided she wanted to roost in an area away from all the others. The deleware was in the coop, next to the rooster
wink.png
All the production reds were sitting on the roof, not in the coop, go figure. I don't know where she went!
This was their first free-range since adding the newbies.

Ok, after re-reading that, sounded like I free-ranged everyone, when I said newbies I meant the maran and deleware to the main flock. When I meant reds sitting on coop roof, I meant their own, they're not with the main flock.

I think your right stang, The earlobes are hard to tell right now but certainly look like they might be more white than red. Like I said she is half the size of her hatchmates which makes sense also. I looked at her tail a lot closer and she does seem to be getting that high arched fan tail. I guess I am getting a white egg layer prozac chicken after all?

@All

I think we have worked out the (hmm) problem? And I will try and keep the flock, although (stang, you were the first to ask) I'll bring the two in question for Ameraucanas and if you still want them you can still have them for that price, if not I was asked by a couple others as well. And I am bringing at least one of the EE's that I cant use that feather pattern, plus the dels, reds, and the he/she del. I apologize if I got everyones hopes up for the birds....I was not in a good place at all and just wanted to indirectly solve an issue. I hope you all can forgive me for that.
