Been a minute since I've been on here!!

Fredrick, he's suck a sexy beastie lol!! I'm still battling the too many roosters issue myself.

Had another coyote come through 30 minutes after letting the flock run a few weeks back. He grabbed a BR hen and Ron, my huge BR roo, went after him. I thought Ron was a goner, they both ran into the tall field next to our house. Ron came sauntering back minus his tail feathers with not a scratch on him. I don't know if Ron beat the poop out of him, just scared him good, or got really lucky. I have to call a trapper, these coyotes are really out of hand now. I haven't got anything new and haven;t been hatching since the last batch of eggs I bought online turned out to be NOT the breed I purchased.
Let me know if you need to be restocked on hatching eggs. Your not getting out that easy, LOL
I am not having the best luck with fertility right now...but we can get you taken care of anyway. I'll have some F-1 olive eggers soon (Welsummer over Ameraucanas) when your ready to hatch again

Just a little fun here: Can you identify these 2-1/2 week old chicks? May be hard to nail it down being there are so many breeds & the fact that they are only 2-1/2 weeks old, so first hint there are two different breeds. As time goes I will post some hints, if no one gets it right off?
First to get it right wins a smiley face!

A, D and E are one breed... my best guess is welsummer
B and C are maybe leghorn.... and B is more than likely a cockerel

LOL! I will do, I'm going to have a stress free winter this year---no more chicks inside for now. Oh. my carpet. *sigh* I did find out spotbot gets chick poo out pretty well! I'll be ready to hatch early spring. Funny, as soon as I typed this I had a guy call about some Nn hens he decided to sell, after telling me no this weekend. Oh boy QT time! Maybe I can finally get this project rolling! :)
