Okay its time for the Orps weekly update. I missed it yesterday

They are 11 weeks old now. I am still holding onto the 3:1 ratio. So if you think differently just chime in please. Per usual I have added more to their folder on my profile page.

On the second photo, in my opinion I see 2 roosters...

Here's the Spring/Summer Orps & EE pullets. The one on the far left behind the fence is just a mutt. I really like the white EE pullets. If I have an Orp roo old enough by spring I will hopefully get some fertile eggs off these 3 Orp girls.

ETA: another pic of the gang

The bottom photo - beautiful. The colors on those feathers are amazing. I would love to see a close up. The color is too sweet the way it transitions. And love to see those plump little chics with their tails up in the air.

Thank you. I love them too. I will try to get a better pic but I am lucky to get these. I hate taking pics when they look like they are housed in a concentration camp environment!

At least they look happy. We rearranged everyone today. Moved the New Hampshire Red hen to the pen with the golden wyandottes. Moved the Brahmas to their new coop. Put the bantams (along with our cornish game hen) into the tractor. Everyone is mad. The game hen wouldn't even go into the coop for fear she was going to be killed. The New Hampshire is going to be molested 14 times before I make it out there in the morning. There was crowing and chirping coming from everyone.

On a worse note, I cleaned poop from 10 am to 6:30 p.m. I cleaned rabbit hutches and coops. There came a point where I didn't even try to keep it off of me. My hair was getting in my face, and I swiped it back with my chicken poop gloves.

I can't believe such little bodies can poop so much.
