I like poached eggs the best, but I've always hated those poaching pan things because they only hold a certain number of eggs and I find them hard to clean.
I now poach my eggs using individual, heart-shaped silicone muffin cups (Wilton brand). I spray the cups with canola oil, before adding egg, salt and pepper. Then I float the cups in a large skillet of water with a lid and cook to everyone's preference. Daughter and wife like the yolks runny. I prefer mine just beyond runny. I can take theirs out of the pan first and leave mine in longer. The eggs pop out of the silicone muffin cups onto the breakfast plates so easily with no mess. The cups are also very easy to clean.
I got my heart-shaped muffin cups around Valentine's Day in the craft department of a big chain discount store. I'm sure they work great for muffins, too, but I've only used them for making poached eggs.
