Eating a Peacock

Too funny, Louisiana!! I grew up in L.A. (lower Alabama) and crawfish are the best!! We also tried rattlesnake, alligator, froglegs, but only at restaurants ... hunters even eat stranger stuff... squirrel stew anyone??? Mmm... never tried peacock though.... but there's a very well known Medieval French cookbook called How to Cook a Peacock... here's the link http://www.scribd.com/doc/20982658/How-To-Cook-a-Peacock-Medieval-Recipes-from-the-French-Court

So I guess at one point peacock was high cuisine.

This from the state where they think crawdads (aka mudbugs) are a delicacy? :gig I guess it would depend on how hungry I was.

Goat is real good meat. It is lean like deer but does not have wild taste. The meat tastes alot cleaner than beef. I like goat real well. I prefer ground like hamburger because it is such a lean meat not as tender in steaks.

<Shrugs...> If I had a lot of peas that all looked the same, I could eat one. Even one of mine. I do my own turkeys, so what's the difference? I just have to have enough so I don't have a favorite. That's why I don't raise beef. I don't have room for more than one, and one = pet. Five all the same = dinner.
