I saw somebody in a previous post had hamburger helper for dinner. THROW THAT STUFF AWAY!!!
barnie.gif

It's loaded with garbage, even if you make it with ground turkey instead of beef. horrible horrible stuff!

Here's a test if you don't believe me.: On a normal morning, around 900 ot 1000. go get your blood pressure checked.
Then make your hamburger helper (death in a pan) and have a normal portion like at dinner etc. don't do anything special just eat normal.
Get your blood pressure checked again about 45 min to an hour after eating.
If you do it at the Dr. office you may be on hypertesnion meds before you can hit the door!

EDITED:::
BTW each box has 5 portions, each portion has 760 MG sodium...3800 mg of sodium in the box!!!!
***PLUS*** EVERY box of hamburger helper has a nice healthy supply of monosodium glutimate (MSG)!!!!!!

Hamburger helper...yea right ....Help you right into a grave....

You didn't turn it back far enough...
I still feel 40-something!

April 11
Breakfast: Steak-ums & cheddar on plain toast, small glass of lemonade

Snack: Peaches, and then bubble gum

Lunch: Leftover burger, BBQ chips, cherry yo+, unsweetened tea

Snack: vitamin gumball, couple hershey kisses w/ almonds

Dinner: Tilapia, broccoli, ? and 9-grain bread (we call it seedy bread at my house).

Dessert: something terrible, I'm sure. Chocolate muffins or cake or GS cookies.

I'm a happy camper today. Yesterday I weighed in and I've lost another 2 pounds. I'm back to my fall weight and the pants I wore last September. Yippee!

Next goal is another 5-10 pounds, and have my daughter lose it with me. Youngest is overweight. We've been discussing portion control, and she's gotten a lot better about that. So next step is daily exercise with Mom, since Mom finally has her own routine established to a reasonable degree of consistency

OK. We threw away the thrice cursed Hamburger Helper, much to my children's dismay (they love that stuff).
And instead we had Lay's BBQ kettle chips which were almost just as bad after I got to comparing them. ~sigh~ At least they were fried in sunflower oil?

I have lots of hamburger helper and have no thoughts about throwing it away.

It can't be any worse than the double cheeseburger from McDonald's that I ended up eating for dinner last night-in ADDITION to the baked chicken...

This weekend I was pretty good. But I'm blowing it today...

I haven't posted because I've been sooo bad lately! Too much soda and not enough exercise. Plus, I ate a whole bag of jelly beans over the past 2 days. It's been a weird week. After a good scolding I decided to start again Monday. I already know I'll be bad this weekend because I'm always bad on weekends. But I'll walk several miles Sat, and do gardening all Sunday afternoon... Hopefully that will balance me out!
