Ebay eggs

OK ladies... Got my Silkie eggs just now...
I candled them to see how they made it, and I have 3 out of 12 floaters. Which it's great she sent extras because the auction was for 8+

How long do I keep them "resting" before putting them in the bator? Tomorrow morning?

I just won another auction for Americana (sp?) eggs...

God help me if they all hatch! DH is going to kill me!

Rest them and let them come to room temp for about 12 hours.

I got eggs and didn't know HOW I was gonna tell DH. One night, after a few beers I got the courage. I started out by saying "I know you just love gardening, it's good for your soul right?" Of course being obsessed with the garden he said "Yes!", to which I said, "Well I need something to fill my soul right now so I'm hatching some eggs and their due to hatch next week. I need something to fill my soul because it seems to be empty right now."
To that he said......."I UNDERSTAND".
Try the "FILL MY SOUL" tactic...worked for me!

Anyway, good luck with the eggs. I got shipped eggs and put them under a broody right away, and also got eggs and let them rest a day...both with success most times.​

what does the air sack look like? I just recieved my three ebay orders today and candled them but I don't know what I am looking for?

At the large end of the egg, when you tilt it, you will see a lighter circle moving around. I put mine in the bator and I'll see what happens but we'll see!

I've been having a lot of good luck with ebay eggs lately but mostly on quail eggs.

first I bought 4 RIR egg no hatch then bought 9 duck eggs 3/9 hatched

I know it's so tempting to see those Ebay listings but I highly reccomend
using BYC to buy eggs. Just about any breed is available here. The prices
are always fair and they ship them well.
