"I currently don't have any other photo's as my camera broke. But that is one of my show hens. And yes there is a few eggs from her. Most of them are like her also.

Thanks"

I re-read this thread. Yeah it looks like the seller is a liar.

Their name should be posted here as a warning but no witch hunts people. Not
that is wouldn't be fun.

Posting a pic online does NOT make it public domain. If it is your work you can claim all the rights to it. However, if you are concerned about people using your pics there are a few things you can do.

DONT post pics online.
Use a photo editing softwear to imprint a watermark and copyright onto your photo. (which CAN be reeditied by really crafty pepople)
File a copyright legally and then you have a "leg to stand on".

Actually, I do not believe that is true at all:

"Under modern law, most original works of art, literature, music, etc. are covered by copyright from the time of their creation for a limited period of time (which varies by country)."

I believe photography is a form or art and since I took the picture and placed it on a website of my own creation it can not be used for the purpose of making a profit.

And the person in question did state that the eggs would be coming from that particular hen....therefore fraud. It's not a huge monetary issue, but it is deceptive to anyone who wishes to buy eggs from this person. They are misrepresenting their product.

I don't consider it a waste of time at all. If it makes this person think twice about ripping off someone else's pictures from the internet (maybe even yours, or anyone else from this board) then it was well worth the effort. Besides, what's more fun than outing a lowlife?

Nooooo, I'm not going to post their name on here. It's just WAY too easy to sign up for a new account and then they would be back in business and we'd be no better off. I don't see the point in that.....besides, this is more fun

I also placed a copyright notice on my website so people will be forwarned not to use anything without proper credits or compensation. If you want to see the site it's: www.nsppa.ca

Heehee...Ok, this is just way to fun. I went and renamed the image on my website, and since they were linking their auction directly to my website, it broke a bunch of their auction images.

Urban, how hard is it to get eggs from Canada to the USA? I would like some of your beautiful rosecombs because I would like to join 4-H next year. I have one black rosecomb hen, she just hatched some lavender silkie X black rosecomb crosses. I cant wait to see how they turn out!

I had people HOT LINKING pictures from my website a few years ago. I did a BAD THING. In the middle of the night I changed the pic to a terrible porn picture . but left the link the same ... THAT GUY TOOK MY PICTURE DOWN QUICK!! I shold not have done that BUT I am glad I did!
