Edible plants in aviary

"Herb" basically just means that some parts of this plant can be dried for some use. It's not a guarantee of safety. Keep in mind that humans eat a LOT of things that other animals can't. Examples are onions, garlic, chocolate, caffeine, and the fact that many of us are lactose tolerant into our adulthood.

Thanks. I was not sure if that one was safe, but I will definitely plant some of that. The purple one goes crazy.
I've fed it to my chickens, not a whole lot though...
I have some growing now that when its bigger i had planned to feed to my Q's, if it makes them sick I'll let you all know.
Found this: says its safe for chickens, whats safe for chickens is usually or even always safe for quail right??

I'm not sure if it is either but it is an herb so...? Try a quick google
I giggled a lot before posting and found extensive lists of safe vs not safe plants, but they were missing the questionable plants listed in my original post. Ie. Catnip is not good for quail, but other mints are fine.
