no. Preferably buy from a breeder. There are a few of us on hereOMG, Those are freeken pretty! I have not had ducks before, but those are so cute! I wouldn't mind having a few too! How do I get them? Just hatcheries I am guessing....
I sell hatching eggs and ducklings/juveniles. The only hatchery I know that sells them is cackle and they come in only black and white. I raise all of the colors. They come in black, chocolate, blue, silver, lavender, lilac, and tri(mallard/wild pattern). 6 to 6.5lbs weight, cannot fly and produce tons of white, green, and grey. My first year layers usually lay a egg that barely fits in a large egg carton. The second year layers and older I haven't found a carton to hold them.
They also taste amazing if you eat duck.
Thank you for the site! I went there but Walt doesn't currently have any Ancona Ducks listed. I looked at the for sale section and the closest to me is in Oregon. Ill have to look into it further!
Okey dokey, been browsing thru the notes and noticed one thing I can't find much of is stuff on cold weather egg shipping... And I got curious.
What's y'all's experiences been with cold weather egg shipping? I see suggestions to add heat packs, but how does a 8hr heat pack keep eggs safe for 48+ hours?
What's the coldest you've had eggs get yet still hatch?
These are in the notes:

Oh sweet! I think they are absolutely gorgeous, and I have not gotten into Ducks, only Chickens and Turkeys so far. We have a cute man made pond too that they would love, it has turtles in it usually too! Do they need a pool or pond, and certain type of feed? I would love to talk to you more about them, see what it would cost to get started some time in the near future! No

you can look into Chelsea koop. Khawdash(sp) hatchery. She is in Kansas but I've heard mixed reports on size of her ducks. Alison Leary is in Maine(I believe) she has good stock. She has a couple from me. I'm in Ohio and have successfully shipped ducklings and eggs to California without issue.Thank you for the site! why can't you?Stop rubbing it in, some of us can't afford Ancona's![]()
