Brutal weekend including a midnight vet call. All fine which is good, but Unfortunately they were both ducklings. That's unfortunate because it was probably her last kidding, and I do not have a doe out of her. I sold the only one she ever had as her first baby because it was the year I sold all
babies for fence that year.

Chickens we’re moved into new coop yesterday. Had to put them in roost area as they wanted to go back to old coop. Tonight all were inside for the night which is very good as chasing chickens at dusk is not my idea of fun.

When I do that, some try to go back to the old coop for weeks.

It's raining, it rained all night, the snow is gone, it's a muddy mess out there.

Good morning Mike. The next storm in might be a warm one. If so the snow pack may become a flood for the valley. And we’d lose the benefit of water in summer. We are expecting 2-4 inches of rain with this one with more in the mountains.

Thank you. I was so grateful they all were in last night.
I must say this breed of chickens are the most tame I’ve raised. Down side I’ve had mixed reviews on their abilities to handle heat. Test yet to come.
