EE colors with pictures- anyone?

Oh these are great! I got my first EE a few weeks ago and I am dying trying to figure out what color they are going to be!

I don't guess there's any way to really know, huh? I'll go out and get pics of mine today...I have a white with black barring that I am *hoping* will be one of the "columbian" pattern colored EEs.

Then, I have a black with gold barring, that I'm thinking might look like GardeNerd's or Mahonri's. I hope so! Those are really pretty!

Then I have a brown with tan barring, and I have no idea what she will look like! LOL! She started out really red and has the fluffiest face, so maybe she will look like Kansaseq's Ginseng??

Finally, I have one that started out yellow with red head markings, but is feathering in PURE WHITE. I am hoping she gets some color to her head, at least! LOL!

Once the kids are off to school, I'll get out and get newer pics of them.

Great thread! I

Here is a more current pic of my Easter Egger. She is supposed to be a pullet. I really hope so. She is 10 to 12 weeks in the photo below.

I like Easter Egger chickens and the eggs so much, a friend and I just got 6 more day olds. I'll take more pictures and post shortly.

There are pictures of my two EE on my BYC page.

Those first two Easter Eggers were nearly identical as chicks!!? What color chipmunks?

Yes, they were. They were both primarily light brown/buff with a couple of dark brown stripes running from their eyes toward their backs and medium brown stripes on their backs (more striking on one than the other). Really had the coloring of your everyday chipmunk. I wish I had taken pictures before they feathered out, but at the time I didn't think there was anything unusual about to happen.

TimG,

I am astonished a brown chipmunk could turn white and black. Wow! I had assumed all the white and gray ones started out as white, yellow, buff, or light gray chicks and all the chipmunk brownish ones turned into the mixes of browns, reds, blacks, and amber tones as adults. It really is a surprise what they will end up looking like as adults then.

Here are a couple of my 8 week old EE's.

The first two girls came from Meyers in Ohio and the other three came from Mt Healthy in Ohio. Just love them.
