EE colors with pictures- anyone?

This is my first year with EEs and I love them. Here are just a couple pictures of my EEs. I have to take more pictures in a few days - I have 9 EEs total, but only a couple of them enjoy having their picture taken.

Here is 'Favorite' -

The bottom Left chick is our roo, the middle chipmunk is Favorite, and the far right chick is Jury - who needs an updated photo of how pretty she grew up. I love her, she is Really my cuddlebug.

When I saw Lemondrop's photo, I immediately thought roo. Those are some pointy saddle feathers. Beautiful bird!!

Thank you! Im pretty sure its a Roo. And Lemondrop is sooo friendly and loves to be with us. His favorite is sitting in our laps. Silly bird

i went to the feed store today "for Fun" and i was looking at the ameraucanas "EE", and i was looking at the colors of the chicks. There were a couple of chicks that were almost black, but some had a tint of grey (blue?), anyways what would that come close to tuning out as older? and then there were some usual darker chipmunk strips. oh and these and from belt hatchery.

You know, I've realized that no matter if you have 2 identical colored EE chicks, there is no way of telling what color they will be when they get bigger. When their feathers start coming in doesn't even give you a clue. I just try and get an obvious variety and look forward to seeing what I get!

That's true. I had 2 easter eggers that looked very different from each other as chicks, but now that they're grown they look like twins.

This is Cleopatra at about 2 weeks (notice the strong eyeliner look):

This is Pippin also 2 weeks:

This pic shows both of them - Pippin lying down in the front & Cleopatra at the right - Cleopatra has the darker body with gold neck, while Pippin is more solid red all over.
