My first couple batches of Easter Eggers from the feed store (labeled araucanas) gave me mostly reddish partridge type EEs (here are 5 of them).

As much as I loved my reddish brown Easter Eggers, I wanted more variety:

I ordered 25 EEs from My Pet Chicken

and picked out some unusual type colors (like the silver, blonde, etc.) to keep for myself:

I wish I had better pics of them when they were little, but this is what they turned out to look like (ignore the buff orp in the pic):

I love this thread! So fun to see all of the colors and changes. I'll be getting 2 EE's in May, along with 6 other chicks (my 1st ever!) and can't wait to see what they all look like!

Here's a picture with four EE's just before they started laying. The EE's are the third from the left and the three on the far right.

The third from the left (tan) is the yellow chick on the roost. The one looking up at her with the brown dot on its head is the third from the right (white).

Here's another pic of the white one. She's actually yellow - it's really washed out from the flash.

The two on the far right looked very similar as chicks. Here's a pic of one of them. Not sure which.

The grey chick in the middle is EE.

Here she is at four weeks. She's the white & tan in the back on the right. I can't wait to see how she ends up! The buff EE in the front (looking at the camera) was a yellow chick.

Here is the EE (I assume EE though the breeder said it was an Ameraucana, maybe someone can tell me the difference?) we got today. I am thinking it will be reddish in color but only time will tell. I will post update pictures as (s)he ages. This is at about 1 week old (and very yellow due to the no natural light thing, the coloring is actually almost blue and red).
