I love this thread! Here are my 2 at a day old and again at six weeks old.

Here are my EEs at 11 days, 3, 4, 5 and 6 weeks. I take pics every sunday so keep checking for updates. I can't wait to see what beautiful hens they become.

I still haven't named them yet and the older they get, the harder the photo shoots. They don't want to be still and they want to be close to me, lol.

Chick #1 this is one of my favorites. She always falls asleep on me when I hold her. The third pic she is blinking, her eye is fine.

Chick #2 This chick is crazy and might keep the name "Crazy Chick". She was flighty and loud compared to the others. you can see her mouth is open in pic 2, she "talked" during the entire photo shoot, lol. Everytime I touched her she acted like I was killing her. She has become very docile now and my son holds her

Chick #3 My fiance's favorite and getting beautiful rust colored feathers on her breast.

this is also 5wks but I wanted to include the above pic of her bright rusty breast

Chick #4 this is the top girl and sure to be top hen. She's my oldest son's favorite and has the most feathering so far

Chick #5 She is an Amerileg (EE) and younger than the others. Her first pic is at 5days and second pic is 11days and third pic is 18days and 7 day intervals after that
She is pretty sweet and mellow. you can see her legs are changing color from yellow to a greenish.

Here she is at 25days. I hope this is a she, the comb is getting very red

Reading some of the comments makes me a bit nervous about the sex of our EEs. My son & I picked "light" chipmunks, so they would be easier to tell from our Speckled Sussex & Welsummer chicks. I hope they're not boys. I want a colorful egg basket! They were in the pullet bin at the feedstore. We got them last Wed, so they are probably about 1 week old:

I know the only sure way to tell is time, but I'm interested if anyone has any thoughts.

I updated my previous post on pg 14 with 4 wk photos of my chicks. They are growing sooooo fast and becoming really personable

I hope more EE owners will post pics, it's fun to see how much they change.

my second batch,

this is my favorite, fingers crossed it's a girl ( 8 weeks old now)

this one almost died on me, but, is okay now, whew.

went from this cutie patootie, my favorite as a chickie too.

and turned into this......... taken about 4 days ago.

does it look girly to everyone?? is smaller, so I think it is from my tiny hen named Little Black, who has obvious a bantam breed in her.

I am SO glad to have this thread! I have one EE pictured above, and will be getting more next week but I am trying to get some that will look totally different then my orange/black ee Munk. I am glad to have some chick pictures to go through so I know what to look for!
