He’s a cockerel. He has pointed saddle feathers (before his tail) and pointed feathers on his shoulders. His pale comb is probably related to the fact that he has a crossbeak.

That’s what I was wondering if somehow that affects his comb and it is a he eventhough there is zero color in the comb at 12 weeks.

Is he getting enough food? If not, you could try feeding him wet mash in a deep bowl.

Yep I only have a few chickens and I’ve sat and watched it eat and drink and it’s getting food. It’s as big as all the other hens and lots of energy. Now if it’s a rooster I guess it’s smaller.
