I candled the eggs and they seem to all be doing well!! Number 5 I don’t think is developing so I am taking that one off of the list. The rest all look great so far! They are on day 10/11 today!

If anyone wants a second egg, feel free to claim one! The food names list is on the first page of this thread!

You can definitely have egg 10 but someone named one of the ducks Kiwi! Any chance you could choose a different name? I can’t edit the name list anymore unfortunately. The ones not crossed off that have already been picked are Truffle, Kiwi and Waffles! Sorry about that!!!

Sorry I haven’t been giving any updates!!! In the last 3 days, I have had 4 more hens go broody - in addition to the broody that has been sitting for a couple of weeks already. And I only have 3 nest boxes! Today I went out and 3 girls were jammed into one nest box. I moved one girl over into another box and removed the growing eggs (there were three, and Sushi is one of those!) because I found a smashed egg in the box with them - thankfully an egg that had just been laid today.

So all eggs are safely in the incubators now and the hens are sitting on fake eggs until I decide what to do. Not sure if I should break some or just let them all stay broody until the chicks hatch and give some to them. Never had 5 broodies before It’s like being broody is contagious!!

The middle box is the one with an Orpington and 2 frizzled satin silkie girls in it.
