Wow ! She is an Easter Egger not because of egg shell color or leg color, but because she is not the proper color for any of the Ameraucana varieties. None of that negates the fact that she is a beautiful bird.

Quoting the standard: black, blue, blue wheaten, brown red, buff, silver, wheaten and white are the excepted colors. Self blue is almost accepted. She is none of those colors

Factoid: in the standard for Ameraucanas it is sometimes considered a blue green egg.

If the lady said they were chestnut project Ameraucanas then they are. It is unlikely they will ever be accepted into the standard, so it is best to call it a project. It looks like she is trying to standardize an ee color I've seen before.

Not sure, my EE lays eggs that are pretty blue.
