We are brand new to owning chickens. We bought them at a store, labeled as EE pullets. From our research, we believe this may be a cockerel. Can a more experienced person please advise?

He/she is the oldest in the flock that we bought, so at first thought she was the leader and bossy because of that, but she keeps the others in line like a rooster and they all follow her/ him

We bought 2 EE, 2 Wyandotte and 2 guinea( not knowing that guineas are fowl birds) the sale person suggested those as protective and the only straight run for a chance at a rooster. We have since read and see they mate for life and are not what we were looking for. However, they have grown to be part of the flock and leaders as well
