Egg Bound quail HELP!

Hey everyone , one of my quail has an egg bound on the vent. she poops. and isnt very weak. when I tried to massage her vent in the hot water and kind of push out the egg very very gently. The egg was covered in something red. I decided not to push it out. please help please tell me what should i do

I would lubricate the vent with oil, and try to find the opening to help the egg out. You might also give 1/4 tablet of calcium or Tums. As soon as the egg is out, try to push the prolapse back inside and hold it there until she stops straining. Keep the red tissue moist with honey or oil, if it does not goes back inside right away. Honey and sugar with a couple of drops of water can aid in reducing swelling. Here is the quail forum where you can post as well:
