Yes, I've been doing this. Lubing all around the egg and trying to gently stretch things to help it pass. I read the inner lining can start to dry out and make the egg stick so I've been trying to get some around the egg as much as possible. She's in a warm bath again.Kind of an overshare, but I'm just thinking from my own birthing experience, they often use a lubricant to do as Eggcessive suggests, and stretch the area to allow the baby to exit. I might be inclined to try that in this situation, although I'm very new to chickens, but it did work to use a well lubricated finger to gently rub around the opening to stretch the tissue slowly. I'd also warm the lubricant/ oil in some warm water before applying to the area.
