They got it out whole. Not sure how because my husband took her.

She's doing really well! We still have her in our bathroom to keep a close eye on her eating and pooping. She has lots more energy and is not happy about her confinement. I will probably take her outside for a bit today. Her prolapse is getting better every day. I've been putting antibiotic ointment on it and soaking her in the bath to gently peel off dried blood and poop and it's healing much better now that it's cleaned up. We've been keeping the bathroom dim most of the day to keep her from laying while things heal.

Yay i just read through the whole thread hoping for a happy ending! I never imagined living my chickens like I love my dogs! But I was wrong and would do anything for them. Good on you for being vigilant and saving your hen!!

She is just glowing. I would let her visit with the rest of the flock daily to keep up the pecking order.
