Egg collecting, what's your favorite collection container?

I use this:

It was in my aunt's chicken collection. I was allowed to have it after she passed away this past summer. I have added a hand towel in the bottom for more cushion. Only holds 2 dozen, though.

I use a cottage cheese container, or lunch meat tub. Plastic doesn't make my heart happy though

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for something that makes my heart sing.

Baskets made and sold for egg collection are far too large for the 8-9 eggs my little girls lay every day. Should be some good choices as it gets closer to Easter

I've tried various containers for egg collecting, including a sturdy charming basket, but my regular and favorite is the handwarmer pocket on my Mizzou hoodie sweatshirt. It's roomy, they nestle in place, and I've not broken a one gathering eggs with that. ~G

All of the metal coffee cans go to the barn for shop duty

Hubby has lots of projects that require cans for holding all the good stuff on the workbench. Everyone has great ideas, I just knew egg collecting was a personal thing

I did dig around and found a $1 store basket, it's small and would work okay and then I remembered I bought a basket on Ebay, planning a head. It was busy holding canning rings and lids

it's kind of cool, folds flat, don't know why and is mesh. Listed as a egg baskey. Think I'll put it by the door for tomorrows trip to the barn ... Anyone else use one of these mesh baskets before?

You got the top one at Big Lots? I LOVE it!

Actually, it looked something like the basket on post 21 and I cut decorations off.
