Do you have anything in the laying boxes, like golf balls, w/ your current laying hens??? It could be stress from the new pullets even though they're not completely together... it shouldn't take too long for them to get used to them though.

It wouldn't hurt to try the golf balls or ping pong balls in their nest and hopefully they'll stop pecking until they get more comfortable w/ the newcomers. We leave ours in all of the time just in case. Five boxes w/ 3 balls in each one for 23 layers.

Put in three plastic Easter eggs this morning, came home to four undamaged eggs, Whoohoo!!
