Egg laid?

Here are things you may not know.

It's possible to lay an egg during molt, but it may be very poor quality.
It's possible to find poop in nest boxes for any number of reasons.
It's possible to find something resembling egg white in a nest and it's really just mucous poop.

Tomorrow, watch all the hens carefully as they begin their day. Look for any that are lingering behind in the coop. Look for any that may be self isolating in the run away from the others. Look for any that are hunched and fluffed up and don't move quickly when you touch them.

If you see one with any of those signs, that may be the one who left the mucous in the nest. Take her up and bring her in for further observation.
Will do! I will see them right when they jump Down in the morning and then see them at about 2:30 tomorrow when i let them out so i will watch... so the mucous poop you are describing is that which is gooey and super slimy like an egg yolk in a way?

Sometimes you find mucous poop and it resembles slimy egg white (albumen). Ot it could be albumen. But it's not extremely important at the moment, especially since you don't know which hen deposited it.

A much more reliable indicator of a chicken in trouble is that chicken's behavior. Once you identify a chicken with the behavior symptoms I pointed out, then you will watch her poop, take a photo, hopefully on a background other that grassy nest material, so we can analyze it.

It could be albumen (egg white).
I agree, I would remove it and put down some fresh nesting material.

Possibly finishing up molting and coming back into lay there was a glitch of a soft shelled egg - a membrane would have been quickly consumed ime.

Since you report normal behavior, I agree, I would just monitor them. See if you notice anyone having difficulties laying an egg, then address the problems as they come.
