Egg Laying Issue

I have 14 pullets that are around 20 weeks of age. This past week around 4 or 5 of them started laying. Today, none of them have laid anything. Is this normal for them to all quit laying together even though they didn't start laying the exact same day?

Hi, and welcome to BYC!

Young hens take time to get to be regular layers. And they don't always lay an egg every day. Today out of 16 girls in one coop I had 11 eggs. A change in routine, a fright, change in diet, all can make them not lay for a day or two. Mine had a change, so I didn't even expect the 11.

This is something I had questions about also. My father said it would take a month or two for them to become regular.
