Egg song from a rooster?

My rooster does the "egg song" when I am running his hatchmate (who is my yard bird) off of my porch with the broom.

Our Salmon Favorelle cockerel does a great egg song, none of the pullets are laying yet, so they all just look at him as if he's a bit off. He is our lowest male and I have a friend that has questioned his manliness in a very rude way.

At 19 1/2 wks he just attempted his version of a crow this week. If he wasn't so beautiful, gentle with his girls and just fun to watch I might wonder about him too. We hope he steps up in the near future. We know that he will be there for many egg laying sessions chiming in.

Chickens are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.
