me to, but a bit of bad news about the egg song ....lol...well it seems my 40 YEAR OLD parrot has learned the egg song and now HE sings it all the time , gosh ????????????? WELL ANY WAY ITS A BIT BETTER THEN HIS BARKING LIKE THE DOG....LOL.

40yrs old? That's some bird. I had a Cockaitel named Gandolph as a teen, we used to close him in the bathroom so he could sing his own praises in the mirror, and we didn't have to listen.

She's just being a new layer that can't quite make up her mind! One of my girls when she first started....she would go into the coop, outta the coop...in the coop, outta the coop....ALL DAY LONG singing and bwoking...'bout drove me nutso!! She will lay her egg when you least expect it...chickens...go figure!!

I heard my first egg song from my first chicken yesterday! she had laid two eggs over the last week and she has been really mean to "everyone" she got ahold of one of my teens free ranging the a few weeks ago and scalped my poor girl and she is mean to all the other hens not letting them eat even if shes through. So I took her out and put her by herself in a dog crate on my back porch until i figure out what to do and yesterday morning I went out to feed and checked on my way out the door no egg, Then she started singing! i knew thanks to all of yall what she was doing right away and sure enough after my morning visit to each pen i came back by and there was breakfast! Figures the only hen i have that sings and shes so mean I may have to get rid of her maybe not, do yall have any ideas why shes being so mean since she started laying?

I just "you tubed" the egg song yup i think i need to look through the yard in search of an egg ..... nothing in their coop or run so maybe they are doing the easter bunny thing and hiding them lol

Midnight our Sebright ,has been singing for months, she's the new egg layer. Tiny,creamy-white egg. 3 in 3 days from her!

I've finally had time to post!! My red sex link and my tetra tint are already laying

. June, my tetra layed an egg in the coop and when I wen to clean it out I foun the egg, my Husband checked under the porch and she had layed two under there!! She was hiding them. When Maddie, my sex link layed hers she was singing and my husband heard her in the laundry room and I checked on her and she had a nest in the hay and was arranging the hay. They are about 20 or so weeks now so the others should start laying soon. But they don't sing much, and my roo is the loudest, I got Romeo from a friend and he would belt out a song so loud but I've only heard Maddie sing that one time and never June. June lays one each day Maddie almost every day.

One of my girls today is making the most gawd-awful sounds...she's in the nest box, has been for about 30 minutes. I disrupted their normal routine today as I was putting up some of the plastic sheeting on the run and they don't like the sound of the drill, much less that I'm blocking their "view" .... aaack!! Hindsight is 20-20 and I probably should have waited til this afternoon to do the work, but the person coming to help me could only come at 10 o'clock.....double aaaack!!

Anyways, back to this sound! Either she's really ticked off at me because of all the ruckus, or she's getting ready to lay one of her "biggies" ... who knows...chickens...go figure!
