Well, I had a double-yolker breakfast this morning!! YAY!

It was, in fact, a double-yolker like we suspected...wheee!!

Nooooooo Why do you think rooster? These EE's are hard to tell. Wouldn't it be crowing at 26 weeks if it was a rooster?

I think rooster because I can see what looks like pointy saddle feathers and because of his coloring. EE's can generally be sexed by color. Females have regular patterning and even coloring. Males have splotchy and irregular coloring and patterns. Yes, I would expect it to be crowing by that age, but maybe he's a late bloomer. Or maybe I'm wrong, and its a she.

I hope you're wrong, too but I've thought rooster myself. I just wish it would crow or lay so I would know for sure - the gal said I could exchange if it turns out to be a rooster & If I have to get rid of it I don't want to get too attached. The sooner the better!

UPDATE:

It's a rooster He crowed 5 times yesterday. We took him back today & brought 2 more back home. I'll post pics tomorrow. Would like help on breed & sex of these 2 before I get too attached to them. I'm pretty sure the 1 is a hen but not sure of the other. Thanks for the help!
