There are posts in the forum about using olive or other cooking oils on chicken eggs if you wash before refrigerating. My first duck egg was pretty dirty so I did wash it, and used olive oil on before refrigerating. Am I correct in this?
Do you only use water and a soft brush or towel? I've seen commercial egg wipes, but have yet to purchase any.
My ducks are pretty messy and I don't have a good system down yet for keeping everyone's bedding nice and tidy.
