I ordered online from a semi local breeder. I like to keep money in small businesses. Anyways, they're brahma and silkies. They traveled within my state for 2 days and when they arrived tonight I already assumed the worst but was not as heart broken as I worried.

There were 13 eggs, I paid for 10 and she tossed in a couple extra silkies. Thankfully with the extra we are only down one from what we hoped. But I think they're mostly silkies now since 4 brahma eggs broke.

Anyways. Since these babies are going on a week post laying, how long do I have to get them in the incubator? How long do I let them rest? Am I resting them correctly with the pointy end up (except one egg I honestly couldn't tell a difference as it was a nearly perfect oval)?

When I candle them before the incubator, what am I looking for? Air cell at the end, and what else?

I would be so extremely upset if i order eggs online and they came shipped like that.

You want to give the air cells a chance to stabilize before the eggs are turned. If you can set them up right with the pointy end down, air cell up, you can put them in the incubator at any time. It's a good idea to candle each egg to check on the air cell. In the rough trip they've had, you may have some that are scrambled inside or rolling air cells. You don't want to turn them completely. Maybe a slight tilt after the air cells are reattached.
