Day 28: should I float test?!

Float test only as a last resort. Hold the egg to your ear, if you hear, "click, click, click" it is a great sign! It means they are pipped internally and starting to use their lungs. If you don't hear anything, then candle them and look for an internal pip and/or movement. Remember, hatching is exhuasting and they take long rest breaks, so don't worry if you don't see movement right away. Be patient! Give it another day or so.

Thank you, I'll give it another couple of days. It's just so frustrating after the excitement of seeing 2 of the eggs moving the other night and now nothing. I'm so scared for them :/

I'd candle before float. Can you see an internal pip?

There's no sign of anything yet, I don't think there's been any internal pipping. Should we candle them tonight?

Yes. Candle. Make sure you still see movement.

What day are you at now? 28?

Thanks we're at day 29 now. We'll candle them in about an hour when it gets a bit darker and let you know if we see anything

We just candled and all 6 still seem ok there was strong movement in 4 of the eggs and slight movement in 2. No sign of any internal pips yet though

That's good news. The hatches seem to be running behind schedule, was the incubator cool? Any chance you a have Muscovy eggs?

The eggs were sold as White Campbellshirt by the supplier. There's still no sign of any movement or pipping
