Eggs cold for 24 hours....viable embryos...UPDATE 6/8 hatched.

Im at 22 and counting

... had a temp spike this morning.. caught it at 105, it was 93 and i tweaked it too hard i guess, came back a half hour later and it was way high... so i have been trying to adjust it for the last few hours.. i still have about 5 hopefuls left.. 1 pip...hope i didnt cook him... i am very fortunate for what i have so far... had to cull one Americauna, it had caught its hock in the wire sometime during the night and it looked too bad to try to fix.

it was red and bloody and looked painful, so i made that hard choice that always leaves me feeling really bad... but on a brighter note... Here they are !!! i sat a day old barred rock next to a day old serama cross so you could see the difference in size... they are so tiny.. getting a plan in place for the next power outage... going to collect baby food jars to fill with hot water for one. Thank you again for all the support... love you guys.

Well, my 'final results'

6 out of 8 hatched, with 5 out of 6 of my shipped eggs making it out.

5 babies absolutely fine, the sixth very weak, but has responded well to sugar water and is gaining strength by the hour..

This hatch is better than many I have had under 'ideal circumstances'

Great news.. my hatch was better than my last one as well....now i wont obsess and get freaked out when the temp dips to 93 or something. Congrats.
