Eggs for Shipping Monday 7/7 - Showgirls & Bantam Blue Favs SOLD

i'd love to try again. maybe put on there that they are hatching eggs, unborn babies...maybe that will get it through their heads to be careful...UGH, also can you put my phone number on the box with call for pickup? maybe that will save them too..

Sure I can do that. Will let you know when I have your batch and get your ph # from you. I read on here somewhere that they trash the box on purpose if you let them know it's eggs inside, but apparently that must not work either just marking fragile. Will try fragile AND hatching eggs on it and see if they can do better. Such a disgrace how they handle packages. I think they worry about getting them there fast and all quality of service goes out the window. Not that everything arrives quick either.

Maybe I should put on there, The Post Office smashed the first shipment, try better this time!

The Bantam Blue Salmon Faverolles arrived just now.
Since the weather is so hot here -- 90's -- I'll probably just let them sit for about 6 hours and put them in the 'bator before I go to bed.

Wish me luck.

I've got a hatcher full of duds right now, so I could use a pick-me-up in 21 days !!!!

Well, I'm sorry, but we didn't get a single one. Today is Day 23 and nothing is happening. I had some Bantam Blue Cochin eggs in at the same time, and 4 out of 6 popped out on Day 20, so I suspect these are a no show. I will leave them for another day or two just to be sure.

Dang, I really do want more Bantam Salmon Favs, but I guess I need someone who has them on the West Coast so they don't take so long getting here.

That's a shame, I was really really hoping for you. But it does seem that the closer the seller is the better the hatch. I have noticed a seller on eggbid that is in texas, that's about halfway closer!
Did any at least develop? Or they just make it to hatch day and never pip? I've had that happen alot too with shipped eggs.

I will let you know more after tomorrow. I think some of them developed, but I won't be sure until after I shut the 'bator down and open them up, and I'm gonna give them through Day 25....just to be really really sure I'm not rushing them.

On Friday I picked up three BSF pullets from the same woman I got my two cockerels from, so just maybe I will be able to get my own chicks in the spring.

And, I do have a dozen eggs coming in mid-August from an auction I won on eBay.

So....I haven't given up yet !!!!
