Eggs in incubator day 19

Day 20 for me now and I have 10 healthy chicks. 3 eggs left with pips. 1 has been pipped for over 24 hrs... a tried to assist and widen its hole a little bit, membrane seemed moist but I could see veins and tiny bit of blood on the membrane so I moistened it and returned to the incubator. Not sure whether I should assist further or not? It looks like this and I can still see the beak moving a tiny bit but just on the same place.

I had a chick pip on the side of the egg. It nicked a blood vessel and the blood cloth got the membrane glued to its head. If I didn't assist it would have died. Just sharing my experience since I never heard of chicks stuck on dried blood.

Wow how cute!! I have 6 hatched this morning on day 20. I would wait to assist your chick any further yet. Give it a bit more time and let it try to zip on its own if it can.

Atm I am waiting on the pipper...it cheeps pretty loudly and can still see it opening its beak semi regularly. Hoping it's ok
I think I have 11 out now but not everyone is fully dry so I'm leaving them in the incubator for now. I have another 3 or 4 pipped. One I see is still making the chewing motion with the beak so must still be absorbing yolk. I think I'm going to have a whole second wave of hatches.. the pipped ones will probably hatch all together after this bunch moves to the brooder.

Your peeper is probably ok. If you feel it's too long go assist.

The one I have been waiting for for 36hrs has just begun making progress.... it looks like it is trying to zip across the sides of the egg rather than around the top... looks horizontal instead of vertical if that makes sense! Is this gonna be ok?!

Yours have all come really close together. My 11th hatched today. Which leaves 3 pips left. Another one is coming up 36hrs, my horizontal pipper and one that only pipped about 4 hrs ago. The wait goes on... 😊

Oh boy you have a sideways zipper? I don't know how to help that situation. Maybe he will figure it out. I have 18 hatched today. Only 2 eggs left. One of those 2 has internally pipped and the other has externally pipped. No movement beyond that on either. Might need assistance tomorrow. The chicks have all popped out on their own and seemingly healthy.
