I have chicks hatching, and for some reason my humidity is way off. Even with the water tub filled. I don't know why, but there are some chicks hatching that are drying out before they are done hatching. They are just stuck with dried shell. What can I do to help them?

I'm not sure, Day 19 here on my first hatch. But I've read that some people wet a sponge, pop it in the microwave, and toss it in to bring humidity up quickly.

Wet a couple of clean sponges with hot water and put them in. That will probably help increase the humidity.

If the humidity has been down to far...below 50%...for too long, you will need to watch them and make sure they can zip and pop the lid on the shell. DON'T help them unless you are absolutely sure they are ready to hatch and just can't get out. Nothing is worse than "helping" and then finding out they just weren't ready...it's just a sickening feeling
