I am super excited I can't wait!!They only squat for the roosters to breed them if they are close to laying or already laying. They do it even if you don't have roosters.![]()
Haha I'll try that next time I go out thereI always pet them on the back for a minute when they do that.
Yesterday when I got home from work I went in to check for eggs and had Chipotle squatting in front of my right foot and Cordon squatting in front of my left foot so it called for two-handed chicken petting.
I'm not so sure about it being a sign of soon egg layingness. Two of mine have been squatting for 3 months and still haven't laid a darn thing.Tell probably lay in a month or two. I don't buy the squaring thing as something to rely on. Mine never squat before laying
I forgot to mention something else, she has been messing around with the nesting pads shes been moving it a lot because i have to fix it everyday
