Oh and I have a thermometer exactly like that one, the humidity indicator is worse than useless.

Lol ya it kinda looks like a spaceship..

Its really bad on the humidity? Darn.. /: Think it'll be close enough for me to try this? I dont really have any spendin money other than for feed. This'll have to be good enough for this go at least. If things dont work out i will probably try again later with different therm/hygrometer.

I can get 16 eggs in it like this. May bump it up to startin the eggs in on the 26th. That will still fit my calendar needs.

Today! I shall put them in. I realized i only have one tote to use for a brooder and with this being such an up in the air experiment i am only putting in eight eggs. And this way when i will be traveling and most likely delivering them to someone they will be older and hopefully do better with a roadtrip.
So after i gather the last egg in an hour i shall set them in. This will mean lockdown on june 6 and hatching as early as about the 9th.

Today i caught Ms Tux lay her egg at 6pm. So she is layin the bigger darker shelled eggs and the solid tib hen is layin the smaller lighter shelled eggs at 8pm. So four eggs from each hen. And the roo is a tib tux just like the first hen.

Things look good so far. Temps been good, once it spiked a degree but it was up less than half hour because i had just checked it. So hopefully that didnt do damage. Humidity has been 40 - 50% but usually about 45%.
Am turning at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm. My little cardboard and knitting needle egg turner is working out fine so far.
I am keepin track of time, house and skillet temps, and humidity. Will post those later though.

Slight problem.. of all the times to turn off the fan he did late last night ): so this morning the house went up to 75* and the skillet was at 110* when i got up.. it would have been like that at least two hours and the eggs were hot hot.
So now i have to nicely rip bf face off for turning off the fan when i expressly said **it must stay on!! Do not touch!!**
*sigh* so now i am waitin a couple days to get eggs and set em again. I guess at least it was day 2 and not day 12 or somethin.
